Our Story

Every company has a beginning. Ours started on the road.
Before founding Torodo, our founder spent years working in interstate transportation, initially hauling palletized freight for logistics brokers throughout the United States. Those early years provided firsthand experience in long-distance transportation, route planning, customer service, and the responsibility of moving freight safely and efficiently.
As the business evolved, he expanded into specialty-item transportation through two of the industry’s largest online shipping marketplaces. Those platforms connected thousands of customers with transportation providers across the country, but they also revealed an important gap in the industry.
Many specialty shipments were awarded primarily on price rather than handling experience or equipment. Customers often had little visibility into who would ultimately transport their belongings, and shipments could pass through multiple parties before reaching their destination. Valuable antiques, artwork, pianos, heirlooms, and other difficult-to-replace pieces were frequently handled within systems designed for general freight rather than specialty transport.
Watching customers place enormous trust in people they had never met reinforced one belief: specialty transportation should be built on accountability, communication, and careful handling—not uncertainty.
Through those experiences, our founder came to a simple conclusion:

Every shipment begins with understanding the items, locations, timing, and handling requirements.

Shipment Review

We evaluate the route, dimensions, access conditions, handling needs, and scheduling requirements before preparing a transportation plan.

Scheduling

Once booked, scheduling is coordinated directly with the pickup and delivery contacts in advance. Once routing is finalized, we provide a final confirmation and arrival update, typically 12–24 hours before our anticipated arrival.

Transportation

Items are prepared, secured, and transported using equipment and handling methods appropriate for the shipment.

Delivery

Upon arrival, unloading and final placement are completed according to the agreed level of service.
